New Mexico may very well be the country's perfect state. Here you'll find hiking, kayaking, skiing, fishing, everything you could possibly think of to entertain you on your vacation.  You'll find the Sierra Blanca mountains - one of the premier skiing destinations in the country.  Go Snowmobiling or ice skating. You can go biking, camping, canoeing, kayaking or boating. Hunt. Fish. Swim. Play. Golf. Climb a mountain. Bird watch. Observe wildlife. See a beautiful sunset. With a temperate climate and gorgeous vistas - you'll think you've fallen into an oil painting but no, that's just life in New Mexico. Enjoy the great outdoors.

New Mexico is the land of enchantment and Santa Fe is its cultural capitol, with ample art galleries, beautiful churches, restaurants that serve great ethnic foods and scenic hiking trails. The main street is a colorful walk past old pueblo architecture and at the east end of town at the end of the Santa Fe Trail, is the Loretto Chapel which is home to the miracle staircase – a staircase which was built out of beautiful golden wood and seemingly stands in defiance of the laws of physics.

It wouldn`t be a trip to New Mexico without checking out the infamous Roswell, home to one of the greatest UFO mysteries of all time. Roswell attracts thousands of people a year who are interested in learning more about outer space and the possibility that non-humans have infiltrated our world.

South of Roswell off of highway 285 are the amazing Carlsbad Caverns, where you can see beautiful caves and ornate stalagmites and stalactites, each lit up by a rainbow of lights.

Taos is home to the Taos Pueblo Indians, whose reservation borders the north of town. There are hip cafes that host local music, quaint boutiques, native art and some of the best skiing in the southwest. What Santa Fe used to be, is what Taos has now become. Don`t forget to take a day to drive Route 64 between Taos and I25. Route 64 runs along the river and has ample hiking and climbing opportunities.

Besides outdoor adventure, New Mexico offers lots of other things to do and see. Dine in a fabulous restaurant. You'll find casinos.  Find fantastic shopping to keep you busy. Of course if you're a fan of gaming, you'll want to view the world-class horse racing venues here too. Visit a museum or historic site. See a play. Attend a concert. Relax at a spa.
